Franklin High School, whose stadium was equipped last spring with lights for the first time in history, will name the venue posthumously in honor of Dr. Clarence E. McWilliams, a longtime supporter of the Indians’ athletic programs whose wife, Jean, children and grandchildren have attended the school. Below are details of the official ceremony, to be held on Nov. 9 prior to the Indians’ homecoming game against Dulaney. Jean McWilliams plans to attend the event, as does Baltimore County superintendent Dr. Joseph Hairston. WHAT: Franklin High School will officially dedicate its stadium complex (field, press box, stands and lights) in honor of Dr. Clarence E. McWilliams, Jr., a community physician who lived and practiced next door to the school and provided services to students and student athletes for more than 40 years.
